While the soundtrack is a bit generic and the editing sometimes uneven, this is a passable production albeit one that could have gone a bit further than it did. Plot and Storyline Quality (1 point) Sweet Inspirations tries to do a lot in a limited amount of time, and it's not all bad. It tries to present an interestingly complex storyline about relevant, real-life topics, but the many characters who are used to pull this off tend to crowd each other out and make the narrative go in many different directions at once. Some characters are downright unnecessary while others have relatable personalities and characteristics; the same critiques can be applied to the conversations among the characters as some of them are really meaningful and worthwhile while others are completely pointless and fruitless. Similarly, there are some great messages to embrace in Sweet Inspirations, such as no longer wasting time on useless church activities, waiting on God, not trying to do everything in your own strength, and doing too much ministry work to the point of exhaustion, but some of these are pushed too hard on the audience, and at times, they are undermined by illogical coincidences and unjustifiable character actions that seem condoned by the writers.
[6] [7] [8] Rediff wrote "It is torturous and tedious to watch, the chills and thrills are not spine-chilling and a soundtrack that is supposed to be eerie is anything but. There's quite a bit of unintended comedy too". [9] Great Andhra wrote "As for Lawrence, his intention was to target the mass audience and he has been fairly successful in his attempt as compared to his prequel by infusing good depth and emotional intensity". [10] Sify wrote:"On the whole, Kanchana is an entertaining affair and can be watched once". [11] Box office [ edit] According to Sify, Kanchana emerged 2011's most successful Tamil film based on return on investment. [1] The film, made on a budget of ₹ 7 crore (US$980, 000) and marketed for ₹ 1. 5 crore (US$210, 000), had its Telugu dubbing rights sold to Bellamkonda Suresh for ₹ 4 crore (US$560, 000). The film grossed around ₹ 20 crore (US$2. 8 million) share from Tamil Nadu alone at the end of its run. [1] Accolades [ edit] Vijay Awards Best Supporting Actor - R. Bartolomeo first points to the autographs that the currently present Straw Hats gave him before showing their updated bounties and wanted posters, which each pirate has mixed reactions to. Usopp's poster now shows his real face and he now has a 200, 000, 000 bounty, which angers Franky as he only has a 94, 000, 000 bounty. Sanji's poster also now shows his real face. Bartolomeo reveals that the Straw Hats' allies during the battle on Dressrosa had bounty increases of 50, 000, 000, and the Straw Hats notice something strange about Sanji 's bounty: he is only wanted alive. Meanwhile, Bill eats a lump of coal, causing his skin to glow red. Characters in Order of Appearance [ edit | edit source] Anime Notes [ edit | edit source] The anime adds the following: While the Straw Hat Grand Fleet is still celebrating, Robin asks Law what was he going to do next and he replies to be left alone. After talking to Spandam, Lucci wonders where Luffy was going next. After Doldo read the notice for the upcoming Levely, Viola informed him that Rebecca and Kyros will be coming to the palace.
Marilyn is only as eccentric as Marge, but that's ok since nobody else in "Game of Death" has much personality. All Hackett has to do to steal a scene is talk into her car's radio. In another scene, she sings to her dog. In a third scene, she recites the Pizza Hut jingle. At length, which seems to irritate the movie's kill-crazy meat puppet protagonists. Still, I'd never heard that version of the Pizza Hut jingle, so I found that amusing. But how about that "Game of Death"? I can't recommend it, mostly the storytelling isn't especially strong, and its high-concept hook is stale. I know that my generation is desensitized, morally bankrupt, and bored enough to kill whatever pain they can't auto-stimulate away. But a few exploded heads, paired with lousy one-liners like "Death is the final level" and "You reptilian b**ch, " don't really do much for me. I'll wait for the inevitable sequel, which might follow the first movie's surviving cast members as they chase after some Gen Z copycat killers.
